On-grid Solar Systems
অন-গ্রিড সোলার সিস্টেম
Use solar electricity alongside the utility supply. An on-grid system is primarily a daytime energy solution; net metering is the separate approved arrangement for accounting for electricity exchanged with the grid.

How the system operates
Panels produce DC electricity and the grid-connected inverter converts it to AC for the installation. Available solar production serves connected demand. Any permitted surplus can flow towards the grid through the approved connection and metering arrangement. When solar output is below demand, the grid supplies the difference.
Why a power cut still matters
A standard grid-tied inverter disconnects when the grid fails through its anti-islanding protection. Solar panels on the roof do not by themselves create a backup supply. If outage operation is required, the design needs suitable equipment, isolation and a defined backup arrangement.
Match the system to consumption
Daytime operating hours, seasonal demand and weekend shutdowns influence the useful system size. Review the panel DC rating and the inverter AC rating separately. The proposed ratio, protection and connection arrangement must fit the selected equipment and utility conditions.
Equipment and commissioning
Review the applicable approved module and inverter lists before selecting a net-metered system. The installation scope should cover mounting, cables, isolation, protection, earthing, monitoring and commissioning documentation. An existing generator also needs careful interface review; it should not be assumed that solar can simply operate in parallel with it.
